About Me
I am a qualified, BACP-accredited humanistic psychotherapist and supervisor. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred).
I completed an intensive, face-to-face, seven-year training in Humanistic Psychotherapy at Spectrum Centre for Humanistic Psychotherapy, where I continue my ongoing supervision and professional development. I have also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1) and hold a certificate in Supervision from Re-Vision.
In addition, I have specialist training in couples therapy, including Relational Life Therapy with Terry Real, Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), and PAIRS.
Before training as a therapist almost 20 years ago, I spent over two decades working as a journalist and editor in Australia, New York, and the UK. That experience taught me a deep respect for people’s stories, an ability to listen closely, and an appreciation for the many ways we make meaning in our lives.
I am bound by the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy (where practitioners undertake research), and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure currently in force.
